Three companies (Best Buy, Amazon and Sears) are selling the same product online. Amazon and Best Buy’s algorithms are changing prices to follow changes in demand. Sears isn’t changing its price.

Amazon is clearly more active than Best Buy with 9 price changes to Best Buy’s 2 changes. Who do you think made more money selling the GE Profile Advantium 120 that day?

  1. Amazon is super smart and leaders online. They are the godfathers. If I was a betting man I would bet my money on Amazon making more. I think the bigger question is why isn’t Sears doing the same?
